For ensuring normal functioning at service of the lock of the interlock observe service regulations and the recommendations provided further.

Installation of a cam of the lock

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Manually move closing cam in the direction "A".
  1. Be convinced that the closing cam is combined in «B» point with a clamp pin.

Adjustment of cables of moving and blocking

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check that each cam of the lock is located in the situation shown in drawing.
  1. In this situation establish a cable of moving and jam a blocking cable. In this case the cable of blocking should incorporate to a brake pedal in a starting position of a pedal.
  1. Temporarily connect each cable to the lever on an automatic transmission, as is shown in drawing. Reliably insert a cable into a pin of installation of each cam.
  1. Slightly moving a blocking cable in the direction "E", eliminate sagging of a cable and provide a gap equal of 2-4 mm.

If the gap is not equal 2–4 mm, for functioning of the button of blocking on the selector lever the pedal of a brake should is pressed much more, than it is necessary.

  1. After check be convinced that the tip of a cable concerns a fixing pin of the R-shaped cam, then move a tip of a cable of blocking with a washer and fix a pin.
  2. Slightly press blocking cam in the direction "Q".
  3. After performance of action of "f" pull a blocking cable in the direction "G" before elimination of sagging a little and fix it a nut.
  1. Be convinced, whether that checked the blocking cable is inserted into fixing pin of a blocking cam, then establish a washer and fixing pin. Whether at the same time check the R-shaped cam is combined with a moving cable, as is shown in drawing.

Check of correctness of installation of a cable of moving

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If the brake pedal is not pressed, the button in the situation "P" will not work at the selector lever (the lever of the selector it is impossible to move from the situation "P" to any other situation). The button on the lever of the selector can be used in other provisions, except «P».
  2. If the course of a pedal of a brake makes 15–25 mm (with the selector lever in the situation "P"), the button should work without capture and the lever of the selector can move from the situation "P".
  3. If the pedal of a brake is not pressed, the lever of the selector can smoothly move to the situation "P" from other provisions.
  4. The pedal of a brake should work smoothly without capture in all provisions.
  5. After key turn in the ignition lock in the situation "LOCK" the button should work, even if the pedal of a brake is not pressed.
  6. The key in the lock of ignition cannot be turned in the situation "LOCK" if the lever of the selector is not established in the situation "P".
  7. If the lever of the selector is established in the situation "P", the key in the lock of ignition should be turned in the situation "LOCK".

Precautionary measures

  1. Slightly moving a blocking cable in the direction "E", provide a gap equal of 2-4 mm between a cam of blocking and the R-shaped cam, then fix a cable a nut. After that be convinced that the gap is in limits of 2-4 mm.

If the gap is not equal 2–4 mm, for functioning of the button of blocking on the selector lever the pedal of a brake should is pressed much more, than it is necessary.

  1. Be convinced that sagging of a cable of blocking is eliminated.

If sagging of a cable of blocking is not eliminated, it will be impossible to remove a key from the cylinder of the lock of ignition and the lever of the selector cannot be moved from the situation "P" to other provisions, even in spite of the fact that the key in the lock of ignition is in the situation "LOCK".


  1. After performance of all works be convinced that the blocking cam and the R-shaped cam are not in the provisions shown in drawings.

If the blocking cam and the R-shaped cam are in the provisions shown in drawings 5 and 6, moving of the lever of the selector from provisions D, 3, 2, L in provisions P, R, N with applying of big effort can lead to damage of cooperating elements. If cams are in the situation shown in drawing 5, move the selector lever from provisions D, 3, 2, L to provisions P, R, N after turn of the R-shaped cam in the direction "A".

If cams are in the situation shown in drawing 6, move the selector lever from provisions D, 3, 2, L to provisions P, R, N after turn of the R-shaped cam in the direction "A", at the same time pressing a brake pedal.
