The lock of ignition (ST) and the switch of ranges (TR) in cars with an automatic transmission

After key turn in the ignition lock in the situation START tension of the storage battery moves to the switch of ranges (TR) and from it to the control unit the engine.

If the lever of the selector is not in situation P or N, tension of the battery will not move to the control unit. On the basis of this signal the control unit defines an operating mode of an automatic transmission and supports frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine at an optimum level.
