Camshaft

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery.
  2. Merge cooling liquid.
  3. Remove the hose of ventilation connecting the air filter and a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
  4. Remove the air filter.
  5. Remove casings of a gear belt.
  6. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders and the sensor of an angle of rotation of a camshaft.
  7. Turn out a bolt and remove a pulley from a camshaft.
  8. Turn out bolts and remove covers of bearings, a camshaft, yokes and jacks of gaps.

Removal and installation of nozzles and fuel pump of a high pressure

  1. The fuel system is exposed to influence of a high pressure (the 1350th bar).
  2. Never carry out works on fuel system at operation of the engine or within 30 seconds after its stop.
  3. Always observe precautionary measures.
  4. Provide absolute purity.
  5. Exclude falling of fuel nozzles.

Check

Yokes

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check ease and smoothness of rotation of a roller.
  2. Check a roller surface. Replace it, there are dents, damage or evidence of jamming.
  1. Check a working end face of a core of the valve. If the end face of a core of the valve is worn-out or расклепан, replace the valve.

Camshaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check camshaft necks on lack of non-uniform wear, cracks or damages.
  1. Check contours of cams of a camshaft on lack of wear or damages. In two points measure height of each cam of a camshaft.

Nominal height of cams of inlet valves: 34,697 mm
Nominal height of cams of final valves: 34,570 mm
Minimum admissible height of cams of inlet valves: 34,197 mm
Minimum admissible height of cams of final valves: 34,070 mm

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish a camshaft on a head of the block of cylinders.

Before installation apply a thin film pure engine oil on all surfaces of sliding of a camshaft.

  1. Establish covers of bearings of a camshaft.
  1. Be convinced that the camshaft easily rotates by hand. After check remove covers of bearings and a camshaft and then establish yokes.
  2. Be convinced that the adjusting pin in a camshaft end face from a pulley is directed up.
  3. In a certain sequence in two or three stages tighten bolts of fastening of covers of bearings the demanded moment. Inhaling moment: 26,5-29,5 N • m.

Tighten evenly bolts of fastening of covers.

  1. Using the special tool, press oil consolidation of a camshaft. Before a press fitting of consolidation grease with engine oil an external surface of consolidation. Insert oil consolidation on a forward end face of a camshaft and establish it, striking with a hammer on the adaptation, before its complete installation.
  1. Establish a pulley of a camshaft and fix it a bolt. Inhaling moment: 120–140 N • m.
  2. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
