The mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) on l engines 1,8 and 2,0

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the mechanism of an automatic tension of a chain.
  1. Remove covers of bearings of camshafts and a chain.
  2. Remove camshafts.
  3. Remove the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT). Fix in a vice a geksagonalny part of the camshaft intended for a wrench.

Be careful not to damage a camshaft. Turn out a bolt of fastening of CVVT.

  1. Remove the oil regulating valve (OCV).
  1. Remove the OCV filter.
  2. Remove the sensor of temperature of oil (OTS).

Check

Do not use repeatedly fallen mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) as thus it can be deformed.

  1. Do not assort the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT).
  2. At installation of the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) it is necessary to use the special tool.

Mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Fix in a vice a geksagonalny part of the camshaft intended for a wrench. Be careful not to damage a camshaft.
  1. Be convinced that the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) is not turned on distributive to a shaft.
  1. With sticky tape stick all openings of the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT), except one, designated by an arrow in drawing.
  1. To an opening submit the compressed air under the pressure of about 100 kPa.
  • The mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) should turn without the appendix of external effort.
  • Supply of air under more high pressure can lead to blocking of a closing pin (lack of pressure).
  1. At performance of the action given in a step 4, a hand take the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) and turn it in the advancing direction.
  • After separation of a closing pin the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) should move freely in the advancing direction.
  • Moving of the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) from the maximum provision of delay to the maximum provision of an advancing makes 20 °.
  1. If necessary replace the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT), otherwise, turn it in the delay direction before blocking of a closing pin.

The oil regulating valve (OCV)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. By ohmmeter measure internal resistance of the oil regulating valve (OCV). Resistance: 6,9-7,9 Ohm at temperature 20°С.
  2. If resistance differs from demanded, replace the oil regulating valve.
  3. Check operability of the oil regulating valve (OCV).
  • Submit to valve plugs tension from plugs of the storage battery: – be convinced that the coil moves in the direct direction.
  • Disconnect wires from plugs of the storage battery: – be convinced that the coil comes back to a starting position.

OCV filter

Check a condition of the filter and absence of pollution in it. In the presence of pollution clear or replace the filter.

Camshaft (CVVT)

Height of cams of a camshaft of inlet valves: 44,618 mm
Height of cams of a camshaft of final valves: 44,518 mm
Minimum admissible height of cams of a camshaft of inlet valves: 44,518 mm
Minimum admissible height of cams of a camshaft of final valves: 44,418 mm

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish the sensor of temperature of oil (OTS).
  2. Establish the OCV filter. Inhaling moment: 41–51 N • m.
  • At assembly observe purity.
  • At repeated assembly of the filter of the oil regulating valve (OCV) replace a washer.
  1. Establish the oil regulating valve (OCV). Moment of an inhaling of OCV: 10–12 N • m.
  • Repeatedly do not use the fallen details.
  • Exclude hit of extraneous impurity in the OCV plug.
  1. Carefully insert a camshaft hairpin into an opening of the mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT).
  1. After the CVVT installation on a camshaft screw a bolt, previously having oiled a bolt carving.
  1. Tighten a bolt of fastening of CVVT on distributive to a shaft.
  • Fix in a vice a geksagonalny part of the camshaft intended for a wrench. Be careful not to damage a camshaft. Moment of an inhaling of a bolt of CVVT: 66–78 N • m.
  1. Establish a chain on asterisks of camshafts how it is shown in drawing.
  1. Establish camshafts and covers of bearings.
  1. Establish the mechanism of an automatic tension of a chain. Inhaling moment: 8–10 N • m.
  1. Remove a stopper blocking the mechanism of an automatic tension of a chain.
