The sensor measures instant pressure of fuel in the accumulator of a high pressure and transmits ESM signal.

Fuel under pressure through an opening influences a sensor diaphragm on which the sensor element (the semi-conductor device) is established. transforming pressure in an electric signal. Through contacts of the socket both an electric chain the generated and strengthened signal is transferred to ECU.
Sensor replacement

If target tension of the RPS sensor does not correspond demanded, replace the sensor.
Replace the sensor taking into account the following requirements.
if the sensor is established repeatedly, replace the sealing washer made of soft metal;
at removal of consolidation do not damage a condensed surface;
at installation of the sensor put on a sealing washer a little lubricant;
inhaling moment: 35±2 N • m.
