Power shaft

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Weaken nuts of fastening of a forward wheel. Lift the car and fix on support.
    Unscrew nuts and remove a forward wheel.
    Remove шплинт, unscrew a koronchaty nut and remove a washer of fastening of a power shaft to a nave of a forward wheel.
    Take шплинт and unscrew a nut of fastening of a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering bent for to a rotary fist. A stripper 09568–34000 squeeze out a pin of the spherical hinge from a rotary fist.
    Remove a support and a soft wire fix it on a forward rack.
    Stripper 09568–34000 disconnect the spherical hinge of the bottom lever from a rotary fist. Remove the sensor of frequency of rotation from a rotary fist.
    Note situation and turn out bolts of fastening of the lower part of a rack of a forward suspension bracket to a rotary fist.
    Kapron hammer beat out a power shaft from a nave of a forward wheel. If the power shaft densely sits in a nave of a forward wheel, spray propitochny aerosol solvent on area шлицов and then repeatedly screw a nut with a fillet so that it settled down flush with a shaft end face. Striking on a nut with a brass hammer, beat out a power shaft from a nave.
    Reject outside a rotary fist and get a power shaft from a nave of a forward wheel. Merge transmission liquid from a transmission.
    Insert mount between the internal CV JOINT of a power shaft and a transmission and easy blow on mount take a power shaft from a transmission.
    Not to damage a case of a transmission and the CV JOINT use mount very carefully.
  • Do not insert mount very deeply not to damage an oil sealing ring.
  • Do not pull for a power shaft as hinges of equal angular speeds will be thus damaged.
    Get a power shaft from a transmission.
  • Establish instead of power shafts special caps in order that dirt did not get to a transmission.
  • Properly support a power shaft.
  • Each time at removal of a power shaft replace a sealing ring of differential.
  • After a detachment of a power shaft from a nave be careful not to damage the ABS sensor and a gear rotor of the sensor on driving to a shaft.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Check protective covers of CV JOINTS of a power shaft on absence of damages and rubber hardening. Check spherical hinges on lack of wear. Check shlitsa at end faces of a power shaft on lack of wear and damages.
    Check a quencher of dynamic fluctuations on lack of cracks and wear.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Grease a working edge of an oil sealing ring of differential.
    Establish a new lock ring on the internal end of a power shaft. A push insert a power shaft into a transmission, thus a cut of a lock ring should settle down from below. After installation pull a power shaft outside and be convinced that it is reliably fixed by a round lock ring.
    Establish in a rotary fist a brake board, a nave, a brake disk and the wheel bearing.

Be careful not to damage a brake board and a sealing ring.

    Establish the Birfield CV JOINT in a rotary fist. Almost rotary fist should be established in the bottom lever at the same time with Birfield CV JOINT installation in a rotary fist.

Be careful not to damage the ABS sensor and a gear rotor of the sensor on driving to a shaft.

    Connect a rotary fist from a resistant forward suspension bracket and fix them bolts and nuts, having tightened them the moment of 75-90 N • m.
    Establish a pin of the spherical hinge of the bottom lever in a rotary fist and fix a nut, having tightened it the moment of 60-72 N • m. Establish a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draft in a rotary fist and fix a nut. After installation, manually check smoothness of rotation of a power shaft.
    Establish a washer under a nut of fastening of a power shaft to a nave the convex party directed outside, then screw a koronchaty nut and fix its shplinty.
    Fill in in a transmission transmission liquid. Establish a wheel. Check corners of installation of forward wheels. Check an ABS sensor signal.
